Photo of the day: Most popular photo taken at the Orokonui Open day (24th April, 2019)

The closing date for the 'photo of the day' is the 28th April.

Photos will be posted to Facebook and the photo with the most likes after one week will be announced the winner.

 

 OMPC-1

Photos of the week: Most popular photo submitted the previous week (each week of competition)

The closing dates for each week are as follows: May 5th; May 12th; May19th; May 26th; June 2nd; June 9th; June 16th; June 23rd; June 30th.

Photos will be posted to Facebook and the photo with the most likes after one week will be announced the winner.


Competition details:

Entries are welcome from all amatuer photographers*

Photogrpahs/videos entered into this competition must be taken at (or of) Orokonui Ecosanctuary

Photogrpahs/videos must be must be the entrants own photos, unless entering on behalf of someone under 16 (state in entry)

Photos previously entered into Orokonui Ecosanctury competitions will not be accepted

All media entered into this competition is donated to Orokonui for use in promoting and fundraising for the sanctuary


Photo requirements:

Participants may enter a maximum of 10 photos 

Photos must be between 1MB-25MB

Photos must be submitted as JPEG files

Borders, watermarks or signatures should not be included


Video requirements:

Participants may enter a maximum of two videos

Maximum video length 30 seconds

Maximum file size 50MB

Video format H264 codec (.mov or .mp4)

Resolution 720p or 1080p

Aspect ratio 16:9

 

How to enter:

All photos and videos should be emailed to photos@orokonui.nz or through Drop Box

Please include your name, age category (under 16 or 16+), home town, and contact phone number in the email.

Please name photos as following:  YYYYMMDD –XX (initials) -YY (category) – Photo name/description

For example: 20180701 – JD-FA – Bellbird singing

To submit photos for the 'photo of the day' or 'photo of the week' categories include 'Photo of the day/week' in your email

Entries may be submitted all at once or over the period of the compeition

 

*For the purposes of this competition amatuer photographers are those for whom photography is not their primary income.
