From the 3rd of March to he 11th of April Blueskin Rd between Port Chalmers and Orokonui will be closed to all traffic at all times of the day.
Despite this closure the sanctuary will be open our normal days and hours and we are looking forward to continuing to welcome visitors. Those visiting the sanctuary can still do so via Blueskin Rd from Waitati, via North Rd, or via Upper Junction Rd from Port Chalmers.
Note we don’t recommend using Upper Junction Rd if you are in a large vehicle like a bus or campervan.
