Do you know a young person passionate about wildlife? Do they want to know more about what it’s like to care for the wildlife and wild places of Orokonui? Sounds like you might have an Orokonui junior ranger!

During these school holidays, Orokonui Ecosanctuary is running its Junior Ranger school holiday programme. This programme is designed for 7-13 year olds and will give participants a taste of the day-to-day life of working with wildlife at the sanctuary. They take part in some behind the scenes activities, learn some of the techniques we use to monitor and look after wildlife, and gain a whole new appreciation for Orokonui and the taoka within.
